New Tweed Bath from Drummonds

21 Mar 18

The new ‘Tweed’ from Drummonds is a compact freestanding roll top, based on an 18th century bateau bath.  Measuring just 1520mm long and 522mm high, the Tweed is Drummonds’ smallest bath, perfect for smaller spaces but still offering all the comforts of a classic double ended design.

It takes Drummonds several weeks to make a single bath; a traditional process involving casting the raw metal, shot-blasting and enamelling with the lengthy dry-frit process which gives a snow white, incredibly durable enamel surface.

As with all Drummonds’ cast irons baths, the Tweed is made to order, with four bespoke finish options; polished, painted, primed or raw metal.  Shown here hand-painted, it is also available to order in a footed version.
