Masterfully conceived by interior designer Naomi Astley Clarke and Smith Brooke Architects, this 6 bedroom West London townhouse was completely transformed to suit a busy family with 3 young children and a sweet poochon pup.
The brief was to create a warm, vibrant, fun family home which met all their practical needs, but which also captured their personalities. The new house had to work for children ranging from toddler age to teens and incorporate spaces for relaxed family living, as well as more formal entertaining. Chosen for their classic beauty and timeless feel, bathroomware from Drummonds was specified for each of the property’s three bathrooms, as well as the ground floor cloakroom.
Master Ensuite
Subtly elegant and showcasing a cool, calm colour palette, the main ensuite places the Meon bath in a polished finish and the Double Ladybower vanity with Arabescato marble, centre stage. A simple, stylish nickel finish features throughout, emphasising the scheme’s crisp, spa-like feel.
Girls’ Bathroom
On the top floor of the property, the girls’ bathroom showcases a departure from the more monochromatic palette that characterises the rest of the house. Combining candy pink tiles and bespoke mural art with gleaming brass fittings and a hand painted yellow Usk bath, it achieves just the right blend of the playful and the timeless. Mural artist Nancy Daniell was specially commissioned to create a bespoke landscape scene, arriving at an African vista featuring pink flamingos, sleek cheetahs and savanna trees.
Shower Room
Swathed in 3D-style, geometric tiles from Lapicida, the downstairs shower room has a bold, maximalist aesthetic. Statement pieces, such as the Grand floor standing shower with a bespoke tear drop head, bring character and dynamism to the space. Eye catching brass finishes accentuate the glamour and impact of the scheme.
Drummonds’ Bourne china basin is the perfect design solution for this compact shower room - the smallest basin which Drummonds have created, it’s an elegant, traditional design suited to both classic and contemporary spaces.
Cloakroom
Located just off the entrance hall, the compact cloakroom has a moody, masculine feel featuring stylish black metro tiles and the Lea vanity. The vanity’s striking Nero Marquina marble top echoes the Lapicida marble floor that flows from the hallway into the cloakroom.
