Interior design studio Stylesmith Interiors was tasked with refurbishing a weekend residence in the countryside. The owners wanted their home to feel calm and elegant whilst also being practical and easy to maintain.
The perfect choice for the property’s three bathrooms was Lapicida’s porcelain range; designed to look and feel like natural stone, porcelain marble looks strikingly beautiful. Unlike its natural counterpart, porcelain is light, extremely hardwearing and easy to clean, requiring minimal maintenance to keep it looking its best.
Stylesmith chose muted, elegant colour palettes for the bathrooms to visually connect them, but each has its own distinct character. The large master ensuite contains a walk-in shower, with walls tiled in warm-toned quartz porcelain, authentically capturing the elegant, timeworn appearance of natural antique quartz for an effortlessly luxurious look. An eye-catching blue vanity adds a pop of colour, and the scheme is injected with opulence through gold fittings.
Striking yet sophisticated, the guest bathroom features light pink onyx walls, creating a boundlessly serene atmosphere. Combined with French white paint and Bologna Pearl porcelain tiles, the space has an air of stylish French luxury. Gold finishes and fittings complete the look.
In the main bathroom, a monochromatic scheme was chosen for a sleek and clean aesthetic. Both the walls and floors are swathed in Antique Marble Bianco porcelain with subtle grey veining, producing a harmonious and quietly luxurious feel. The white and grey scheme is finished with gold fittings, and a freestanding bath in grey provides the perfect elegant touch.
